Three people died after drinking contaminated water in Kavadigarhatpi and more than 100 people are sick and are being treated in the hospital.
When the team led by Tehsildar Nagaveni went and questioned the people who were protesting against the death due to consumption of poisonous water in Kavadigarhatti of Chitradurga, the people got angry.
They complained that even after the incident, adequate food and water arrangements have not been made. At this time, the protestors had an argument with Tehsildar Nagaveni.
In relation to this case, pump operator C.H., who is an employee of D Group. Prakash Babu has been suspended by District Collector GR J Divya Prabhu.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who received information about the incident from the district administration, ordered an investigation and an investigation team was formed under the leadership of the Project Director of the Urban Development Cell. The team has been instructed to inspect the site and submit a report within three days.
Inquiring about the health of the sick, the scheme and statistics and district in-charge minister D. Sudhakar, the families of those who died after consuming contaminated water will be given suitable compensation by the government. He said that those who are ill and admitted to the hospital will be given appropriate treatment.
